Readings:
Students are
expected to have done the reading by the date of the lectures
covering the reading. Specific reading assignments will be given at
the end of each preceding lecture. While all readings can be found
on-line; students are encouraged to obtain the editions listed
above.
Attendance:
Students are
expected to attend all class sections. Students who accrue more than
three unexcused absences will be awarded an F at the end of the
course.
Withdrawals:
Students are
expected to execute their own withdrawal from the course. Students
who fail to continue attending the course will be given an F at the
end of the course.
Web Board discussion participation:
Every student is
expected to make at least three substantive contributions to the
computer-based discussions supporting this course. Students may be
penalized up to 15% on each graded submission for a failure to
participate satisfactorily during the period covered by the
submission. Exceptional contributions to discussion group work may
be recognized by an upward adjustment of the exam grade for that
period.
Academic honesty:
University
standards for academy honesty will be strictly enforced according to
University policies.
Special considerations:
The instructor
will accommodate special student needs upon the presentation by the
student of the appropriate documentation from the University’s DSS
Office.
